Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff, visitors and volunteers to share this commitment.
If you have any concerns regarding the safeguarding of any of our pupils please contact one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads: Mrs Standing, Mrs Rees, Mrs Dickens and Mrs Laurie
Please see the safeguarding section of our website under Parents > Safeguarding.
All children are expected to have the following correct kit in school every day for PE lessons:
House coloured polo shirt or white t-shirt
Dark blue/black shorts
Dark coloured jogging/tracksuit bottoms (not leggings)
Dark, plain track suit top or sweatshirt
No earrings, watches or jewellery to be worn. (Only new earrings should be covered for the initial 6 week period.)
When the Year 4 children attend swimming sessions in the summer term, they are expected to bring their full swimming kit (including swimming hats) into school as and when required - you will be notified of dates in advance. Both subjects are compulsory subjects under the National Curriculum.
Teachers monitor the provision of the correct kit for each lesson.
You will receive a reminder letter if your child has not brought in their full kit. If this happens on more than two occasions you will be asked to make an appointment with the Head Teacher to discuss any support you may need in helping to ensure that your child participates more regularly.
While wanting our pupils to be independent and responsible for bringing in their own kit, we would appreciate your support in ensuring they have the appropriate clothing in school.
Office staff are not required to phone home to ask for forgotten PE or Swimming kits to be brought into school. Any such call made will be made as a courtesy only and at the staff's discretion.
