Starting School

The decision as to which school your child should attend is one of the most important you can make.  We are delighted that you're considering making an application for a place at Woolton Hill Junior School.

Though a large number of pupils are from the village, a significant proportion are from Newbury and other neighbouring villages, as parents seek out the village school character.

Making an Application

Children may be admitted directly into any year, from Year R at our Federated Infant School (St Thomas' Church of England Infant School) through to Year 6.

We use the Local Authority (LA) admissions scheme. Although we are a Hampshire school, we are open to all children, regardless of county of residence, however the application process varies depending on where you live.

Both schools currently have spaces and we will be delighted to discuss your child's needs with you and to arrange an in person visit. Full details of the admissions policy can be found here
