Empty Classroom Day

What a fantastic (dry) Empty Classroom day we have had today. Empty Classroom Day is part of a global campaign backed by Persil’s ‘Dirt is Good’ movement.  It aims to celebrate and inspire learning and play outside the classroom.
WHJS' aim was to spend as much time outdoors as possible to engage and enthuse the children.  The activities included poetry, maths investigations, rounders, art sculptures and map work. Here are some photos of our day.  Please do ask your children what they did. At the end of the day a child asked her teacher, "Please can't every day be an Empty Classroom day?"  What a great endorsement for the day.
