Children from over 40 Primary schools across West Berks and North Hampshire took part in a cross country competition at the Newbury Showground last Tuesday. Woolton Hill was well represented, with a team of 37 pupils, taken from each of our five classes.
The event was organised into four races ( a boys and a girls event for the lower and upper school) and the course itself, was a whopping 1.5 miles!
As usual our pupils participated brilliantly. The children ran with great resilience and determination, keeping going over the arduous terrain. With over a thousand pupils taking part, the final results were not available of the day, but we now know that consistent performances from our children placed Woolton Hill, 7th overall for the tournament.
