Woolfest 2018
We raised an incredible £5277 from Woolfest this year!! This is fantastic and we are really pleased! And we are hopeful that some Matched Funding will come in as well, which could take us up to the £8500 mark! So a huge THANK YOU for coming and for any help you may have provided before, during or after the event! Massive thanks too to The Highclere Red House, Paper Houses, DJ Chris Pearce, Ab Fab Loos, JV Bouncy Castles, Easy Ice Supplies, The Two Cocks Brewery, and all the local individuals and businesses for donating to the Silent Auction.
Come to our AGM on Thursday 20th September at 6 pm at the school to decide how it should be spent and how we can make sure it truly benefits our school and children. The Committee also needs a new Secretary and some new members, so please come along to find out more. We are a friendly bunch and would be grateful for any time at all that you can spare - even just half an hour once in a while. If we don’t have enough members, we can’t spend the funds we’ve raised this year.
Email friendsofwhjs@gmail.com for more information, or leave a message with the school office.
Woolfest - Friday 6th July, 5.30 pm - 10.30 pm
Tickets are now Available!
The invite letters went out before half term and are available here on the website. Please return your reply slips and transfer the money as soon as you can. The Early Bird Deadline to get discounted tickets is Friday 8th June, and the Final deadline is Friday 22nd June. We have a limited capacity, and tickets always sell out, so return your forms asap to ensure your entry to our fantastic summer fundraiser! Paper Houses, our main band for the night, are busy putting together their set list, the Two Cocks Brewery is waiting to deliver our ale, and fantastic prizes keep rolling in for the Silent Auction! Thanks as always to The Red House, Highclere, who will cook for us. We are also very excited about the incredible-looking inflatable rides, including the Kick n Stick Foot Darts from last year, as well as a new Jungle Super Slide and a Last One Standing Sweeper Game! If you are able to donate any prizes to the Silent Auction, can help out on the day or beforehand, can sponsor any aspect of the event, or are First Aid trained with a current certificate and can help be on standby for an hour or two, then please let us know (friendsofwhjs@gmail.com).
